ReplyDelete1.The soldiers from Germany attack the soldiers that are in Tommo’s side with mustard gas, and a lot of soldiers are dead because of them. But Pete and Tommo survived.
ReplyDelete2.Charlie lied about the war to his family back home, because he doesn’t want them to worry a lot and that they be scared for them etc.
3.Tommo doesn’t desert because he would feel guilty and that would be abandoning and betraying Pete, Charlie and his other soldier mates.
4.Anna died when she went to fetch some eggs, she got hit by a big Boche shell.

. At the beginning of the chapter Tommo and the other soldiers are gassed in their own trenches. While trying to escape with Pete, Tommo falls and his gas mask comes off. He puts the mask back on but he has breathed in some gas. When he gets to safety, he throws-up.
ReplyDelete2. Charlie tells his family that Tommo is having a “fine old time” because he does not want to upset Molly and his family. I don’t agree with his decision because I would tell my family the truth.
3. Tommo does not desert the army because if he is caught there would be big consequences.
4. Anna died while she was coming home on the cart fron the hen house, and then a shell landed right beside her and bombed her, and she got killed.

1. Tommo was frighten when someone had said “GAS GAS ” he put his gas mask on to protect him from the gas then stop when he had saw a German solider he point his gun at Tommo but the German solider let him go, when he was running Tommo had trip and hid gas mask fell off he put it back on Quick and he ran his lungs where burning his eyes were on fire until he got the safe zone he took his mask of and did not feel well and then he felt bad and threw up.

3. You would be put in fire squad I presumed and would be killed if you desert the army
4. She was killed by a German sniper when she was driving.
